Abstrak
Sebuah singkapan terdiri daripada batu lumpur bersilika bertuf yang berselanglapis dengan sisipan syal yang sangat nipis ditemui di Ladang Tenang yang terletak kira-kira 900 m ke arah barat daya dari kawasan penempatan penduduk Pos Blau. Kajian mikropaleontologi melalui kaedah pengekstrakan radiolaria menggunakan Asid Hidroflorik (HF) dijalankan ke atas beberapa sampel batu lumpur bersilika bertuf. Hasil pengekstrakan mendapati sampel batuan bersilika ini mengandungi fosil radiolaria berusia Perm. Sebanyak 20 spesies radiolaria dikenal pasti terdiri daripada 16 genus yang tergolong dalam 10 famili. Darjah awetan fosil ini adalah dalam keadaan sederhana hingga baik. Berdasarkan kemunculan spesies penunjuk usia dan julat usia stratigrafi, fosil ini sesuai dimasukkan ke dalam Zon Himpunan Pseudoabaillella rhombothoracata berusia Artinskian Awal hingga Kungurian Awal dan Zon Himpunan Albaillella asymmetricaberusia Kungurian, Perm Awal. Penemuan kedua-dua Zon himpunan ini penting dan mengisi rumpang zon radiolaria di Pos Blau, sekali gus melengkapkan biozon radiolaria berusia Perm Awal (Sakmarian) hingga Perm Tengah (Wordian).

Abstract
An outcrop consisting of tuffaceous siliceous
mudstone interbedded with very thin shale intercalations was found at Ladang
Tenang located approximately 900 m southwest of the Pos Blau settlement area. A
micropaleontological study through the radiolaria extraction method using
Hydrofluoric Acid (HF), was carried out on several samples of tuffaceous
siliceous mudstone. The results of the extraction found that this siliceous
rock sample contained Permian-aged radiolaria fossils. A total of 20 radiolaria
species were identified consisting of 16 genera belonging to 10 families. The
degree of preservation of this fossil is moderate to good. Based
on the occurrence of index species and the stratigraphic age range,
these fossils fit into the Pseudoabaillella rhombothoracata Assemblage
Zone of Early Artinskian to Early Kungurian age and the Albaillella
asymmetrica Assemblage Zone of Kungurian, Early Permian age. The discovery
of these two assemblage zones is important and fills in the gap of the radiolarian zone at
Pos Blau, as well as completing the Early Permian (Sakmarian) to Middle Permian
(Wordian) radiolarian biozone.
